- Op de ets “Fridolin en Gragapança van Yperdamme” zien we links de kunstcriticus Eugène Demolder als Gragapança en rechts James Ensor als Fridolin. Voor deze prent bestaan twee voortekeningen, die na het verschijnen van Demolders Les contes d’Yperdamme in 1891 gemaakt moeten zijn. De ets is wat gedetailleerder dan de tekeningen. Zo zien we in de jaszak van Ensor een aflevering van het tijdschrift La Libre Critique, vermoedelijk het nummer van 6 januari 1895, waarin Demolder een artikel over Ensor geschreven had. De prent en de tekeningen hebben betrekking op een reis die Ensor en Demolder omstreeks 1895 naar Zeeland hebben gemaakt. De prent is ook verwant met de gravure van musicerende zotskappen die Jacques Callot in 1617 in de reeks Capricci uitbracht.
