- Van dit werk bestaan twee versies in olieverf op doek. De tweede versie, uit 1949, bevindt zich in een privécollectie en toont een andere dialoog tussen vlakken en lijnen. Bovendien werkte Bertrand daar met zwart, wit en grijs. In de versie van 1948 behield hij het spel van diagonalen die driehoekige kleurvlakken omsluiten. Het geheel wordt onderbroken door drie verticale lijnen die herinneren aan straatlantaarns. Aan de schilderijen gingen een aantal tekeningen vooraf.
