- Oscar De Clerck laat zich niet vastpinnen op één stijl. Tijdens Wereldoorlog I ontwikkelde hij een eigen beeldtaal. Hij realiseerde beelden in een geblokte, vereenvoudigde, kubistische stijl. Vanaf de jaren 1920 sloot hij aan bij de art déco-vormgeving maar bleef hij ook traditioneel-realistische beelden maken. Ook het expressionisme liet hem niet onbewogen.
