- Jakob legt geschilde takken in de drinkbakken van de schapen om ervoor te zorgen dat de witte schapen bont gevlekte jongen zouden werpen. Daarmee misleidt hij Laban die met hem heeft afgesproken dat hij alle bonte dieren als loon zal ontvangen (Gen. 30:37).
