Description:

Op de voorgrond in een boslandschap zit de heilige Leonardus van Noblat, een vroegchristelijke kluizenaar. Hij zit tegen een boom en leest. Achter hem is de Mariakapel te zien die hij oprichtte in Limoges. Naast de kapel begraaft een monnik iets. Op de achtergrond vindt de ontmoeting plaats tussen hem en koning Clovis in een woud.
