- Marcel Notebaert werkte in een neo-expressionistische stijl die later evolueerde naar een magisch realisme. Notebaert was ook stichtend lid van het Christelijk Vlaams Kunstenaarsverbond en het tijdschrift West-Vlaanderen. In Mu.ZEE bewaren we een bibliofiele uitgave Kruisweg met veertien handgekleurde illustraties van zijn hand die verwantschap vertonen met zijn Kruisweg voor de neoromaanse Sint-Eligiuskerk van Sint-Eloois-Winkel. In de uitgave zijn ook veertien gedichten van Fernand Bonneure terug te vinden.
